What Rudrapur City is

Rudrapur City (rudrapurcity.com) is a free website and app for the people of Rudrapur. Everything important about the city is in one place.

Every morning at 7:30 a short summary of the day, called "रुद्रपुर आज" (Rudrapur Today), is shared on WhatsApp.

It is run by an independent publisher based in Rudrapur. Reading it costs nothing and needs no login or account. The site carries no advertising.

  • Latest news from the city and nearby, each item with its source and time
  • Power, water, road, traffic and weather alerts
  • Events, fairs and festivals
  • Jobs, especially around SIDCUL and Pantnagar
  • Current weather and the forecast for the coming days
  • Essential phone numbers, hospitals, blood banks and other places
  • Blood requests, travel links (rail, bus, air) and polls about the city

रुद्रपुर सिटी (rudrapurcity.com) रुद्रपुर के लोगों के लिए एक मुफ़्त वेबसाइट और ऐप है। शहर की हर ज़रूरी बात यहाँ एक जगह मिलती है।

रोज़ सुबह 7:30 बजे "रुद्रपुर आज" नाम से दिन की ज़रूरी बातों का छोटा सार WhatsApp पर साझा किया जाता है।

इसे रुद्रपुर का एक स्वतंत्र प्रकाशक चलाता है। पढ़ने के लिए न पैसा लगता है, न लॉगिन, न अकाउंट। साइट पर कोई विज्ञापन नहीं है।

What we are not

It is important to be clear about this so that nobody is misled:

  • We are not a government website. We have no connection with the Municipal Corporation, the district administration, the police or any government department.
  • We are not affiliated with any political party, politician or organisation. We do not accept political advertising.
  • We are not an emergency service. For police, ambulance, fire or any emergency, call 112 immediately. Do not message us and wait for help.
  • We do not republish full stories from other newspapers or websites. We show only their headline, the source name, the time and a link. The full story is read on their website.
  • We do not provide government services (bills, complaints, certificates). For those we link to the official website.

  • हम सरकारी वेबसाइट नहीं हैं। नगर निगम, जिला प्रशासन, पुलिस या किसी सरकारी विभाग से हमारा कोई संबंध नहीं है।
  • हम किसी राजनीतिक दल, नेता या संगठन से जुड़े नहीं हैं। हम राजनीतिक विज्ञापन नहीं लेते।

How content is gathered

  • News: headlines arrive automatically every 15 to 30 minutes from publishers' public RSS feeds (the Sources page lists the feeds in use). "पूरी खबर पढ़ें" (read the full story) takes you to the original publisher's website.
  • Weather: the Open-Meteo forecast, under the CC BY 4.0 licence.
  • Events, jobs, alerts, phone numbers and places: the editor adds these after checking official websites, organisers, companies and information sent by readers.
  • Information sent by readers is reviewed by the editor first and published only after that. Anything not yet confirmed is marked "अपुष्ट" (unverified).

  • खबरें: समाचार प्रकाशकों की सार्वजनिक RSS फ़ीड से शीर्षक हर 15 से 30 मिनट में अपने आप आते हैं (कौन-सी फ़ीड चालू है, यह "हमारे स्रोत" पेज पर लिखा है)। "पूरी खबर पढ़ें" आपको मूल प्रकाशक की वेबसाइट पर ले जाता है।

How to contribute

  • To send news, an event, a job, an alert, a blood request or to add a shop or place, fill in the form at rudrapurcity.com/submit.
  • Most forms do not require your name or phone number. Your phone number appears on the site only if you give separate, clear permission for it.
  • You can also send it on WhatsApp: to be added soon
  • If you spot a mistake, tell us through "गलती बताएं" (report a mistake) at rudrapurcity.com/submit?type=correction. We check and correct it as soon as possible.
  • Tap "सूचना चालू करें" (turn on notifications) or "ऐप इंस्टॉल करें" (install the app) in the menu to get important alerts first.
