Leopard kills dog in Rudrapur's Ganeshpur, cub also spotted; movement caught on two CCTV cameras, residents alarmed

The movement of a leopard (guldar) in the Ganeshpur area of Rudrapur has alarmed residents. The leopard attacked and killed a dog in a field, while a second dog ran away and escaped. The attack was caught on two separate CCTV cameras. Another clip shows a leopard cub roaming in a field. With a leopard and its cub seen in the same area, people fear it could move from the fields into populated areas, and worry about the safety of children, pets and cattle. Villagers have informed the forest department. People have been advised not to go alone to fields or onto deserted paths and to keep a close watch on children. (Source: Amar Ujala, Dainik Bhaskar)
