Two new community halls to be built in Rudrapur: Rs 23.84 lakh at Indira Colony Ramlila ground and Rs 9.50 lakh at Dev Homes Elite; tender process begins

The Rudrapur municipal corporation is going to build new community halls at the Ramlila ground in Indira Colony, ward 30, and at Dev Homes Elite, ward 16. According to Amar Ujala, a large hall will be built at the Ramlila ground for Rs 23.84 lakh, with a hall, kitchen, toilets and all facilities. Ramlila, religious and social programmes are often held there, but without a building, programmes often had to be cancelled when it rained. A hall will be built at Dev Homes Elite for Rs 9.50 lakh; residents of the colony had demanded it several times and had to hire expensive halls outside for small functions. Municipal commissioner Shipra Joshi said the tender process has begun for both works, and construction will start soon after work orders are issued. (Source: Amar Ujala)
