UPCL report: power cuts on rural feeders in Udham Singh Nagar on five days in October, mostly in the evening; no cuts in Rudrapur, Kashipur and other towns

According to the October 2026 rostering report of Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL), power was cut (rostering) on rural feeders in Udham Singh Nagar district on five days between October 1 and 13. Power was cut from 4:40 pm to 5:35 pm and 6:25 pm to 7:30 pm on October 5 (two hours in all), 6:30 pm to 8 pm on October 8, 12:40 am to 1:40 am on October 9, 6:30 pm to 7:45 pm on October 12, and 4:30 pm to 5:55 pm and 7:25 pm to 7:45 pm on October 13 (an hour and three-quarters in all). Over this period, rural feeders got power for an average of 23 hours 25 minutes a day. There were no cuts in Rudrapur, Kashipur and Sitarganj towns or in the smaller towns of Kichha, Jaspur, Khatima, Gadarpur and Bazpur. The longest cuts in the state were on steel furnace feeders: from 4:15 pm to midnight on October 13. According to UPCL's power position report, against a demand of 42.38 million units in the state on October 13, 41.28 million units were available and 1.10 million units were rostered.
