Rudrapur: report on Dial 112 of ₹1.60 lakh robbery at gunpoint from a godown turns out false, action against caller under Uttarakhand Police Act

Police in Rudrapur have taken action under the Uttarakhand Police Act against a man who gave false information on Dial 112 about a robbery of ₹1.60 lakh. According to Dainik Bhaskar, police received a call at around 8:04 pm on October 17 saying four young men had robbed ₹1.60 lakh at gunpoint from the caller's godown in Kachchi Khamaria and fled. Chowki in-charge Nirmal Latwal reached the spot with a police team, questioned the caller and investigated, and found the robbery report to be entirely false.
