TET certificate fraud: inquiry report ready on suspended teacher in the district, action up to termination possible; a Khatima teacher already dismissed

A suspended teacher in the district could be in more trouble in the TET certificate fraud case. According to Amar Ujala, the check of the teacher's documents is complete and the report is ready. During the inquiry, the teacher's TET certificate and academic records were matched against the original records, and discrepancies were found. According to the paper, action up to termination of service may be taken on the basis of the report. The education department began checking documents in the district after cases of people getting jobs on fake TET and academic certificates came to light in several districts of the state. Two such cases have come up in the district so far: a woman teacher from Khatima has already been dismissed, and in the second case the teacher is suspended. Basic Education Officer Harendra Kumar Mishra said all deputy education officers had been told to verify documents along with the appointments made in 2024 and 2025, and the suspicious certificates were examined as part of this. He said action will be taken according to the rules on the basis of the report.
