Rudrapur: Children at the Government Observation Home make candles for Diwali, will get a share of the sale profits; contact the home's office to buy

Children living at the Government Observation Home in Rudrapur are making candles for Diwali. According to Dainik Bhaskar, District Probation Officer Vyoma Jain said nine children currently live at the home, and its staff have been training them in candle-making since November 1. The children are making candles in different designs, shapes and colours. She said the aim of the initiative is to connect the children with the mainstream of society and teach them a skill that can help them find work or start a small business of their own after they leave the home. A fixed share of the profit from the candle sales will be given to the children when they leave the home. People who want to buy the candles can contact the observation home's office. The District Probation Officer has appealed to people to buy the candles made by the children this Diwali.
