Hepatitis B and C treatment now available at Bajpur sub-district hospital: 550 patients treated in a year, 450 helped to recover; patients earlier had to go to Kashipur or Rudrapur

Treatment and medicines for hepatitis B and C are now available at the sub-district hospital in Bajpur. According to Amar Ujala, social worker Dr Saurabh Parmar had written to the Chief Minister demanding treatment and medicines for the disease in the area, after which the facility was started through the efforts of the then CMO, Dr KK Agarwal. Earlier, these patients had to go to hospitals in Kashipur and Rudrapur. The hospital's CMS, Dr Vinay Yadav, said 550 hepatitis B and C patients were treated in a year, of whom 450 have been helped to recover. The report does not say whether the tests and medicines are free or on which days the OPD for it is held; check with the hospital before going for treatment.
