Three Udham Singh Nagar players in Indian team: Asian Vovinam Championship in Cambodia from November 24 to 30, five from Uttarakhand in all; CM extends best wishes

Five players from Uttarakhand will represent India as part of the national team at the 6th Asian Vovinam Championship in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, from November 24 to 30. Three of them are from Udham Singh Nagar. According to Amar Ujala, Babita Adhikari, Tejaswini and Harshit Kumar are from the district; the other two are Sagar Singh Adhikari of Nainital and Ajay Sharma of Haridwar. Devendra Singh Rawat, vice-president, and Vinod Lakhera, general secretary, of the Vovinam Association of Uttarakhand gave the details. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met the players and coaches at the Chief Minister's residence and wished them well. Vovinam is a Vietnamese martial art.
