Rudrapur: Transit Camp police arrest 19-year-old with 10 stolen mobile phones

Under “Operation Prahar”, run on the directions of SSP Ajay Ganpati, Transit Camp police have arrested a youth with 10 stolen mobile phones. According to police, a resident of Raja Colony complained on September 24 that a Vivo T2x phone had been stolen from his room on September 23; a case was registered at Transit Camp police station and the probe handed to sub-inspector Manoj Kumar. Acting on a tip-off, police caught a youth, who tried to flee, near a kiosk beyond the petrol pump on the road to SIDCUL. Police said he gave his name as Suraj (19), of Mubarakpur village under Kemri police station in Rampur district. The stolen Vivo T2x was recovered from him, and 9 more phones of various brands were found in a white bag he was carrying. Police say he confessed to stealing mobile phones during questioning.
