Gadarpur: Two held for allegedly forging documents to secure MBBS admission

Gadarpur kotwali police have arrested two accused of preparing fake and forged documents in an attempt to secure MBBS admission. According to police, a case was registered on September 25 on a complaint by Gadarpur revenue inspector Vinod Kumar over fake permanent-residence, caste and orphan certificates made to obtain benefits, under BNS sections 318(4), 336(3), 338, 339, 340(2) and 61(2). During the probe, a check of certificates relating to five students showed that forged Aadhaar cards, ration cards, khatauni (land records), family registers and electricity bills had been used. The named accused, Shubham Hudiya and Nikhil Verma (both residents of Gadarpur), were arrested after questioning. Police recovered two mobile phones, a laptop, a hard disk and an SSD from them; recordings and documents found on the phones are being included in the investigation.
