DCM truck rams e-rickshaw in Kunda area, three including driver and a woman killed, two critical

A DCM truck rammed an e-rickshaw near the big canal in the Kunda police station area of Udham Singh Nagar at about 5.30 pm on Saturday. Three people, including the e-rickshaw driver and a woman, were killed. According to Kashipur kotwali in-charge Harendra Chaudhary, the DCM was coming from Jaspur towards Kashipur, while the e-rickshaw was heading towards Jaspur with four passengers. E-rickshaw driver Shahzad, son of Ramzan Ali, and another man died on the spot. The injured were taken to hospital in Jaspur by 108 ambulance, but a woman died before reaching the hospital. Two injured are critical and are being treated at the hospital in Jaspur. Two of the dead, including the woman, have not yet been identified. Kashipur and Kunda police have sent the bodies for post-mortem and are investigating the cause of the accident. (Source: Dainik Bhaskar)
