Mayor Vikas Sharma: all Rudrapur roads to be pothole-free before Diwali, hot-mix work to start soon; road from Anandam Garden to UP border in Kiratpur under construction

Rudrapur Mayor Vikas Sharma said at a press conference on Thursday that all the city's roads will be made pothole-free before Diwali. According to Hindustan, he said a list of bad roads has been prepared, hot-mix work will start soon and roads on main routes and in the wards will be repaired before the festival; officials found negligent in road work will not be spared. Within 48 hours of Kiratpur gram pradhan Ashish Yadav posting 'no road, no vote', construction of the road from Anandam Garden to the UP border was started. The first instalment of ₹10 lakh out of a ₹19.11 lakh budget has been released for a CC road in Sai Vihar Colony Phase-5, and an assurance has been given that a 180-metre stretch of the Kiratpur main road will be built by the zila panchayat. The mayor said Bhimrao Ambedkar Park will be beautified at a cost of ₹24.55 lakh, a digital library is being built for ₹60 lakh, and work on the Bindukheda road will start soon. (Source: Hindustan)
