Rudrapur: 21.45 kg ganja recovered from car on Gadarpur highway, ANTF and police arrest two accused

A joint team of ANTF Rudrapur and Rudrapur Kotwali police recovered 21.450 kg of ganja from an Ertiga car (HR55AT-9269) during checking on October 3 near the bypass cut leading from Trishul Chowk via the Rudrapur-Gadarpur highway to the block office. According to police, the driver sped up when signalled to stop, after which the car was cornered and stopped. According to police, the arrested accused have been identified as Rajesh Kumar (48), a resident of Palwal, Haryana, and Prashant Shikari (41), a resident of Malik Colony, Rudrapur. The recovered ganja is valued at about Rs 3 lakh. Police say the accused brought ganja from Malkangiri in Odisha and sold it in Rudrapur; a case has been registered against them under the NDPS Act and the network is being investigated.
