Udham Singh Nagar: Roads to be made pothole-free by October 15, DM issues directions; action for negligence

District Magistrate Nitin Singh Bhadauria has directed officials to speed up work to make roads pothole-free after the monsoon by October 15. At a review meeting on the Jal Jeevan Mission and road repair on Thursday, he said action will be taken against officials if negligence is found. All departments involved in road construction must first give the Chief Development Officer a list of 10 roads from each division; SDMs will monitor the work regularly and PWD Superintending Engineer Anil Pangti will give a daily progress report to CDO Divesh Shashni. The three PWD divisions were also asked to immediately submit utilisation certificates for funds allotted to repair damaged roads, and drinking water schemes are to be tested after the monsoon.
