Rudrapur: Man paid ₹1.20 lakh for a bike seen on Facebook but never got it; seller stopped taking calls when money was sought back, FIR registered

A woman from Gangapur in Transit Camp has told police that her husband saw a Yamaha RX-100 motorcycle on a Facebook ID on December 28, 2025. When he called a WhatsApp number given on Facebook, the price was put at ₹1.60 lakh. Once the deal was fixed, her husband paid ₹1.20 lakh in three instalments, but the bike never came. Meanwhile, her husband fell ill and died. When the woman got in touch, the accused said he would send the bike if the remaining ₹40,000 was paid. When she cited her husband's death and asked for the money back, he promised to return it after Ramzan, but later stopped answering the phone.
