Doctors in Rudrapur's Doctor Colony, fed up with broken roads and poor electricity supply, boycotted OPD services on Tuesday and held a protest. According to Dainik Bhaskar, the colony has about two dozen hospitals visited by thousands of patients every day, yet its roads have been broken in many places for a long time. The doctors say the bad roads make it hard every day for patients and those accompanying them to reach the hospitals, and the trouble is worse when bringing in seriously ill patients. They had repeatedly asked officials to repair the roads, but anger grew when nothing was done. Accusing the Nagar Nigam of neglect, the doctors demanded that the colony's damaged roads be built on priority so that patients and local residents get relief. (Source: Dainik Bhaskar)
