Rudrapur: Traders observe 'No UPI Day' against UPI charge, protest by covering QR codes with black cloth
रुद्रपुर: यूपीआई चार्ज के विरोध में व्यापारियों ने मनाया ‘नो यूपीआई डे’, क्यूआर कोड पर काला कपड़ा डालकर जताया विरोध

At the call of the Rudrapur Vyapar Mandal, traders observed 'No UPI Day' on Friday in protest against a proposed charge on UPI transactions. Traders registered a symbolic protest by covering the UPI scanners and QR codes at their shops with black cloth. Vyapar Mandal president Sanjay Juneja said the proposal to levy a UPI transaction charge on traders is a matter of concern for the business community and that traders should not be seen merely as tax-collection machines. Traders say any extra cost on digital payments could hit small and medium traders and ultimately customers; they asked the Centre to reconsider the proposed charge. Rakesh Sukhija, Deepak Guglani, Pankaj Sukhija and many other traders took part in the protest. (Source: Nav Bharat Media, used with permission)
